Hand-built by Elderly Instruments' repair shop chief and reso-guru Steve Olson, the Reso-Volt is a thin body resophonic guitar that utilizes an 8-1\/4\" aluminum cone with a Conetone \"Electric Biscuit\" pickup which successfully captures the sound coming off the cone itself. Olson combined this with a Stretchwinder Mud Slide humbucking (Alnico 5) pickup with separate volume control, and a Fishman Powerchip, a matching preamp, offering more flexibility and a wider range of available sounds. The Reso-Volt produces one of the best \"electrified-reso\" sounds we've heard. Gigbag. Made in USA.
