{"product_id":"gibson-f-4-90u-222071","title":"Gibson F-4 Mandolin (1921)","description":"\u003cp\u003eThis fine Loar-period mandolin was completed at a time when Gibson was experimenting with 3 color sunburst and Finish Shop Foreman Fred Miller was developing his \"Cremona Brown\" finish. This finish is transitional from the 2-color red sunburst. Some of these have a more pronounced red \/ yellow \/ brown look than the later \"Cremona Brown\" ones from 1922 - 24. This Gibson F-4 has tons of vintage vibe with its double bound 2 point body. Carved spruce top, oval soundhole, and triple ring rosette. It has figured maple sides and a carved back. 2-piece mahogany neck with a bound ebony fretboard. Other features include an ebony bridge with rare compensated aluminum saddle. Bound headstock with double flowerpot inlay and \"The Gibson\" logo. Waverly 4-on-a-plate tuners with ivoroid buttons. Original shaped hard shell cover. Built in Kalamazoo, USA.
