{"product_id":"menzies-gourd-akonting-361","title":"Menzies Gourd Akonting, Jamaican Mahogany","description":"The akonting is the traditional folk lute of the Jola, a West African people found in Senegal, Gambia, and Guinea-Bissau. With its skin-headed gourd body, two long melody strings and one short drone string, it is thought to be an important forerunner of the American 5-string banjo. This modern version features a round neck of Jamaican mahogany; a 10-1\/2\" diameter gourd with skin head, wooden bridge, and sound hole; and three strings with handmade tuning pegs.","brand":"Menzies","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":26856336457792,"sku":"MAK17-2","price":695.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0147\/9412\/9472\/products\/2_17_208.jpg?v=1646269342","url":"https:\/\/www.elderly.surf\/products\/menzies-gourd-akonting-361","provider":"Elderly Instruments","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
